Im sure everyone reading this post has been through moments during their  lifetime when they have felt a feeling which is a mixtue of complete satisfaction, happiness and a lot of other undescribable feelings. And this divine happiness is often caused by very simple little happenings…

One such feeling is the the one you experience when a little baby falls asleep in your ams.

First, Little Antony(not little anymore) and now Kunj Mary,two babies who really gave me the opportunity to expeience this in the last 2 years on different occasions.

The peace on their cute lil faces coupled with the faith and  satisfaction with which these lil bundles of joy fell asleep in my  arms,cuddling up on my bossom  filled me with a feeling that cannot be expressed in words.A smile is then born in my heart which comes right upto my face and I hold the baby closer.

This time,I looked at Honey Chechi and said…”This is just one of those moments” and we exchanged a knowing smile.

I know I havent been writing much , actually nothing at all on angeldirect.My Thousand Apologies(Trying to sound like a true Madrasi(that what my northie friends call me )).There are a lot of things happening in my life…but my laptop is screwed and so cant blog regularily…and the very lil time i get I spend for mutiny…!

Mary :Thats her name , Mary Rose Jacob

Kunju Mary : Small Mary …..also  Mary Jr. My mother is Mary Sr.

I hope ive cleared that doubt.

One of the many things I love about being in Ireland is going for long walks and listening to people performing on the street.The music is simply ‘Magical’ , takes you to a different world altogether.I have many such evening walks or night walks that I cherish.The walk last night was the best.

I wanted to go when the sun was out(before 8 ) but left office at 9.I was planning to go walking alone, but bumped into Bal on my way out,he was returning from the gym.He joined me and the both of us went walking to the city.We walked talking about personal,local,national and international topics(hehhee…I did all the talking).

When we reached Shop Street, we saw the usual crowd around a regular street band,I think they are from Spain or France.They play the drums and their music is very good and usually attracts crowds.But yesterday was Special.

The people on the street were more, coz it was Thursday and that added to the crowd.We joined in and listened.I was sooooooooo tempted to dance but controlled coz I dint want Bal to be standing there with my hand bag n coat while I dance, like what happened at Spirit in Dublin.Hehehe!!

All of a sudden a large group of school kids appeared,dressed in Red with large musical instruments in hand.They were from California and were visiting Ireland to perform in a parade(I wonder which one thought….Paddys day was last month).They marched by so the music stopped for 2 minutes.After they left, the music continued.A minute later, the whole gang came back and positioned themselves right in front of the othe goup facing them…the rest is simply undescribable….all i can say is ….WOW…!!!Ill upload the videos n snaps that we took asap.

Note: Bal ended up standing on the street while i danced, but this time i danced with my bag…;-) !!!

Ok….If you are wondering who Velliammai and Kunj Mary are…..well, im talking bout  me n ma Neice….respectively!!

Yesterday, My Appan n Amma rang me up when I was in a mall.Just went for a lil shopping after A trip to Connemara and Palm Sunday Mass. They were at Dubai Airport going back to Pulincunnoo. Appan was  a lil drunk, well drunk enuf to say his famous “Appachan fit annu makkalle dialogue”(Any idea which movie dats from?) .Heehehe…Anywayz…That call made me every happy….no,not because Appan was drunk, because they called me to say that my neice Kunj Mary looks like me.

Ok..i know all you people reading this are pitying(i hope the spelling is right) her. But well so was I…i think it would have been fantabulous if she looked like her Mom.I know my sister, Rose, is going to be disappointed when she hears this coz we are planning to make her Miss Universe when she grows up and the last thing she’d want is for Kunjus to look like ME!!
Ok…i know ur wondering what i was happy about then, well you see…Her name is Mary Rose Jacob. Shez named Mary after my mother,  and Rose after my Sister-in-law(Honey chechi is also known as Rose(Baptism name)).Yes, Rose is also the name of my sister.

So my neice has the names of all the other 3 ladies in my family n had nothing to do with me…sob sob sob.But……SHE LOOKS LIKE ME!!!!<<just when i started to think that I got exchanged in the hospital(i look like no one in my family)>>

So Im very Happy, and unlike a lot of others….im sure shez gonna Grow up to be  a Babe !!

P.S.Thanks to the call i also got to see the cutest Indian guy ive seen in Ireland till date.

I recently found out that my name is the Gaelic (Native Language of Ireland) form of Theresa, traditionally the name of the wife of St.Paulinus of Nola from her native greek island of Thera.I also learnt that ‘Treasa’ (Pronounced Tres-Ah) is usually the name of a caring and warm hearted person.Yea…i know my name has an extra ’s’.

And to think of it.All my life i thought my father made a spelling mistake…hhehehe…ofcourse he knew Gaelic!!!

….or is he dumb???I was walking to office one fine morning.Chaitra had already left for work, so i was walking alone.Just as  I reached the entrance of my bay, I noticed a well dressed man in a nice car, parked right in front of the entrance,smiling at me.when i reached closer, he said in a very loud voice that sounded very Italian…and a very broad smile….”Italiana???”…”No,Indian”, I said….”Oh”,with a disappointed look he said and continued..”Same same…same same”…..and continued smiling as i walked on.

I was wearing a Chudidar.
